My Vegan shopping list

Many people ask me if I only eat vegetables and fruit as a vegan, and the simple answer is, HELL NO! As a vegan, you can experiment with so many different foods and ingredients. I decided to compile a list of different foods I stock up on when going grocery shopping. I will do a blog post next week on how to meal prep these ingredients, so you can stay on track- and enjoy being plant-based!
GRAINS/ BEANS/ LEGUMES
- Barley
- Farro
- Quinoa ( I usually get red and tricolor)
- Brown rice
- Wild rice
- Red rice
- Black rice

- Brown lentils (dry or canned)

- Firm tofu (I am personally not a fan of Silken tofu)

- Soy yoghurt for breakfast and smoothies (Alpro brand)
OILS
- Organic cold pressed coconut oil for raw treats
- Extra virgin cold pressed olive oil for cooking
- Sesame oil for stir-fries
- Vegan spread (Pure dairy free brand)
ANIMAL PRODUCT ALTERNATIVES
- Vegan sausages (Fry’s brand)
- Vegan burger patties (Cashew and parsnip burgers from Good life brand)
- Mince (Quorn brand)
- Vegan cheese (Gouda from Sheese brand and Feta style from Green Vie brand)
- Nutritional yeast (for adding a cheesy nutty taste to food, or to use as a substitute for parmesan when making pesto)
DRIED
- Apricots
- Raisins
